“Culture clash”. That term has been around since the 1920s. And the concept of a “broken world” has been around for millennia. The central irony of culture is that it is where we live together while dividing ourselves into sides. We concern ourselves with antonyms quite a bit. Maybe…we should celebrate shadings and connotations, taking a sincere interest in the subtle; more peering in wonder, less staring in judgment.
