Join us for our all ages Blessing of the Animals service where we recognize and celebrate our connection with our animal companions.  All pets and their human companions are welcome!  Dogs must be leashed and, if required, muzzled.  Smaller animals should be carried in kennels or cages or held securely.  You may also bring a photograph of your pet to be added to our altar for the service.  If you are attending online, and would like to include your pet in our service, please send a photograph to Rev. Andrée (revandree@cucparamus.org) by noon on Saturday, October 9.  You may bring or submit photographs of beloved deceased pets to be remembered, too.  For in person participation, the service will take place in the CUC Courtyard, weather permitting.  Registration required to attend in person.

Community Sunday: Bergen County LGBTQ+ Alliance

Location: In-Person at CUC and Zoom

Each congregational year, we have three months with five Sundays.  Last year, we began to set aside one Sunday each of those months to both celebrate and support a community partner.  This is an opportunity for CUC to use our worship time for us to focus our collective loving kindness and sense of justice on those who share our community.  Our first Community Sunday this year will feature the Bergen County LBGTQ+ Alliance, which exists to build a community center in Bergen County and to raise awareness about New Jersey’s diverse LGBTQ+ population from all creeds, colors, and socioeconomic backgrounds.  Registration required to attend in person.
