At this time of deep political polarization with a rise of authoritarianism around the globe, many traditional institutions, including many religious institutions, struggle to find their way forward. The approaches we have used for decades no longer seem adequate to all we are facing. This summer at General Assembly, the Unitarian Universalist Association invited congregations into deep discussions about “meeting the moment” we find ourselves in. During this service, Rev. Andrée and CUC members who attended General Assembly share reflections from this summer’s gathering and how it applies to the present moment and future of our congregation.
