This congregational year we will explore a different theme each month through our worship services. Our monthly themes each represent an aspect of our theme for the entire congregational year: “Growing Toward Our Future.” May’s worship theme is “Courage.”

This is an opportunity for CUC to use its worship time for us to focus our collective loving kindness and sense of justice on those who share our community. This Community Sunday we feature the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. |

Courageous Choices This Sunday we celebrate courageous choices we make in our lives including the choices we make as mothers. As part of our service this Mother’s Day we will also take a moment to recognize the full spectrum of motherhood within our congregation. |

Mental Health and Courage May is mental health awareness month, and CUC is designated a “Stigma-Free Zone.” The Stigma-Free initiative is a county-wide program, aiming to reduce the stigma of mental illness. This Sunday, we will consider the connections between mental health and our monthly worship theme of courage. |

All-Ages RE Sunday In this all-ages service, we celebrate all the work of our Religious Education program this year. We will also take time to recognize the contributions of our Director of Religious Education, Lynn Sodora, who will be leaving CUC at the end of this congregational year. |

“Fret Less, Sigh More” Conflict is inevitable. Does that idea stress you out? Understandable. Yet not only is Conflict inevitable, it may very well be the driving force of theology, human understanding, and existence itself. And what’s in a sigh? Why do people who lead meditation guide us to “Breathe in a breath of Life; Breathe out a breath of Peace?” Our service this morning is led by CUC-member John Freund. |
